Greenwood is known as the City of Pride and Progress. It boasts a small town feel with all the amenities of a large suburb with easy access to Downtown Indianapolis.

Located just 15 miles south of Indy, Greenwood is easily accessible by SR 37, US 31 or I-65. In addition, it is a beautiful 45 minute drive to Nashville, IN and Brown County State Park. The city is served by its own municipal airport... Indy South Greenwood Airport (HFY)

Downtown Greenwood has recently gone through a significant facade improvement program and there are major redevelopment plans in store for the entire area.

The city's largest employers are Endress & Hauser, Indiana American Water and Nachi. The city also houses several warehouse facilities for companies such as Ulta, Aldi and Nestle Water.

Area attractions include the newly renovated Community Center, Freedom Park and Freedom Springs, Greenwood Park Mall, and the just announced 20 million dollar Iceplex.

Local dining options include Oaken Barrel Brewery, Vino Villa, La Trattoria, Jockamo's Pizza, The Blind Pig, Revery, The Suds, Between the Bun, Egg Roll #1 and of course Mrs. Curl. There are many many more options around the mall as well as the 135 corridor.

The city has many events throughout the year including concerts at the amphitheater, holiday parades and some of the best 4th of July fireworks around.

There are three school systems within the Greenwood City Limits... Greenwood Community Schools, Center Grove Community Schools and Clark Pleasant Community Schools. All are highly rated school systems which excel in academics, sports and the arts. There are several private school options in the city as well.
